The boucle du Verdon

3 cycling routes for all levels! Don't forget to sign up

Races for all levels

Every year in spring, the village of Gréoux-les-Bains (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) becomes the gathering point for passionate cyclists for a highlight of the national calendar: Les Boucles du Verdon. More than just a race, this mass-participation cycling event is a true immersion into the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park, offering spectacular panoramas of the famous Gorges and its turquoise lakes.

Les Boucles du Verdon follows the "cyclosportive" format: a timed mass-start event open to amateurs of all levels, with official rankings for those aiming for a top performance. It’s a chance to challenge yourself alongside other cyclists on secured routes, all while riding through an exceptional natural setting.

Alongside the timed races, a leisure cycling route (cyclotouriste) is also available. This allows participants to enjoy the roads and scenery without the pressure of the clock, and it is generally open to Electric Bikes (E-bikes).

The atmosphere is friendly and festive, but the sporting challenge is very real—especially on the "Grand Parcours" (Long Course), which takes participants deep into the rugged terrain of the Verdon.

3 routes to explore

The event traditionally offers three main loops, tailored to different fitness levels. Every route showcases the stunning diversity of the Provençal landscape, from rolling hills and vast plateaus to sparkling lakes.

  • The Long Course (Cyclosportive): 150 km

  • The Intermediate Course (Cyclosportive): 105 km

  • The Leisure Route (Cyclotouriste): 80 km

In addition to the main Sunday events, the organizers often host a Gravel race on Saturday. This allows riders to explore the region’s backroads and forest tracks for an even more varied cycling experience.

See you in 2026!
